This conference is being held in conjunction with a public lecture and major international conference: Europe and Asia between Islam and the United States: The Lessons of Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and Iran, jointly sponsored by CERC (The University of Melbourne, the Centre for Dialogue (La Trobe University) and the Innovative Universities European Union Centre (La Trobe University and Macquarie University), in co-operation with 4 overseas institutions.
