About the Conference

The Contemporary Europe Research Centre (CERC) invites postgraduate students from across Australia with a research interest in modern Europe to participate in an Interdisciplinary Conference, Europe: New Voices, New Perspectives.

The Conference is being held on Friday 8 December 2006 following two annual international CERC Conferences, which students attending the postgraduate conference are also encouraged to attend.

This conference has financial support from CERC's Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence funds and from the Contemporary European Studies Association of Australia (CESAA). Mobility grants have been extended to some paper presenters with the intention of making the conference national in its coverage of, and support for, European studies in Australia.

CERC postgraduate conferences aim to bring together up and coming scholars in areas of European study. They seek to facilitate links between the students and also provide them with a chance to meet with and receive feedback from senior scholars.

Queries regarding the conference that are not covered by our website can be addressed to the conference convenors via the CERC office.
