Bruno S. Sergi is a contract professor of Institutional Economics in the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Messina.

He has published widely on macroeconomic policy, East-West economic integration, and economies in transition. He has research experience at the Czech National Bank, the National Bank of Belgium, and the International Monetary Fund.

Prof Sergi is currently a Visiting Fellow at The University of Greenwich Business School in London (September 2005 ­ August 2008) and Senior Researcher, Transfer of Knowledge Marie Curie Action, 6th Framework Programme of the European Union, University of Szczecin (April 2007 ­ March 2008)

Most recently he has been a Visiting Professor: New York University, summer session of 2005 and 2007

He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of East-West Business, Prague Economic Papers, Politicka ekonomie and South-East Europe Review.
