Associate Professor Hancock has a long standing interest in analysing public and social policy formulation and implementation with regard to balancing social and market concerns in terms of longer term sustainability, equity, access and capacity to participate. She has headed a number of government committees and published widely on health policy, women policy and rights in Europe
