Dr Teresa Chataway is a specialist in Italian political and legal philosophy, and democratic and human rights theory. Her current research interests are in the interface of public international law, and global democratic theory and practice informed by a European perspective

She received her PhD in 1996 on 'Norberto Bobbio and Democracy' from the University of Queensland. She also holds a Masters of Jurisprudence (Bond University) and Masters of Public and International Law (University of Melbourne).

She is currently writing a book on Norberto Bobbio: Law and Cosmopolitical Democracy.
